Bristol is an incredible city for students. Its vibrant, lively atmosphere and diverse mix of cultures and communities makes it the perfect place to expand not only academically but socially.

Like a lot of British Universities, The University of Bristol received their Royal Charter in 1909, and since then it has produced hundreds of thousands of intellectual, inventive and innovative students. Offering over 200 undergraduate courses across their six academic faculties, it is no surprise this establishment was the city's biggest employer in 2014.

As well as the university being one of Bristol's mass employers, in turn it seems their students are also keenly sought after, which can be seen by the Graduate Marker placing The University of Bristol fourth on their list of universities targeted by leading graduate employers in 2018. Not only is this establishment boasting national achievements, in 2021 the University of Bristol ranked in the top 60 of universities in World Rankings.

Bristol is also home to The University of West England, or UWE for short, which received its university status in 1992, and has numerous campuses across Greater Bristol. After recently undergoing a rebranding in 2016, now UWE encompasses and celebrates Bristol's eclectic, dynamic and sustainable culture.

This University is divided into four faculties and then split further, offering hundreds of degree choices. The university pioneers in technology and solutions and The University of West England is home to the largest robotics laboratory in Europe. Ranking within the top 30 universities in the UK by The Guardian University Guide 2020, UWE Bristol also received a gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework of 2018.
